When my first daughter was born, I made a conscious decision to work less. I haven't regretted that for a minute. The moments I can be at home when the children come home are moments I am very grateful for.
After eight years in the service industry, I changed course in my professional career. I returned to university to accomplish the teacher training programme. Meanwhile, I have been working as a part-time teacher and student coach at Odisee University College in Brussels for more than a decade. I teach English and coach Business Administration students in their search for a successful study method and internship. Working with young people gives me a lot of energy. It is so nice to see my students grow in their talents and competences.
That role as a student coach gave me an appetite for more. So I started taking courses to also coach people who work. This is how I started working as a career coach in 2020. Since 2023, the core talents method has formed the basis of my work as a career coach and study counsellor.
In my spare time, you will find me walking with the dog in the fields, in the woods or in the park. On family holidays, I also enjoy activities outdoors, but then they can be more challenging, such as a tree adventure park, canyoning or via ferrata.
